BIG MAMA operates out of the Bloomfield River, which is north of Cairns and South of Cooktown. Getting here is really 'half the fun'.

We can fly you in over reef and rainforest. It is a great 30 minute scenic flight along the coast.

We will pick you up in Cairns and bring you up the coast route, via 4-wheel drive on the world famous Bloomfield Track. A great trip through the coastal lowland rainforest and the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. 4 hours, not including scenic stops and walks.  

The 'back' or 'longway', via the tablelands is also very scenic, through a variety of countryside. 5 hours, not including scenic stops and walks.  

Many of our guests opt for a 4-wheel drive adventure on the way north, exploring tropical rainforests, deserted beaches and mangrove wetlands. Then they take a scenic charter flight back to Cairns at the end of their ocean, island and reef adventure.
